Present Perfect Simple. Yet, already .......

Examples.

( +) “He has seen this film three times”

( - ) “María hasn't been to London before”

( ? ) “Have you studied Maths?” - “Yes, I have”

“What places have you visited this year?” - “I've visited Toledo and Segovia.”

 

Uso del Present Simple.

Experiencias	“John has seen the eiffel Tower” (John ha visto la Torre Eiffel)
Hechos habituales o rutinas	“She goes to school at half past eight” (ella va al colegio a las 8)
Gustos y opiniones	“Jim likes rock music” (A Jim le gusta la música rock)
Programas y horarios	“The train leaves at six o'clock” (El tren sale a las 6)

Structures

Affirmative : Sujeto + have/has + Past Participle..

Negative : Sujeto+ hasn't / haven't + Past Participle..

Intterogative :

• Has/Have + Sujeto + Past Participle? (Preguntas tipo “Sí” o “No”)
• Pronombre Interrogativo + Have/Has + Sujeto + Past Participle?

The Present Perfect + “Already”, “ever”, “never”, “yet” and “just”

The Present Perfect with…..

a.) “already” (Sólo frases afirmativas e interrogativas)

“ I´ve already seen this film” --- “Ya he visto esta película”

“Have they already finished the project?” -- ¿Ya han terminado el proyecto?

b.) “ever” (En frases negativas e interrogativas)

“I haven’ t ever tried Sushi” --- “Nunca he probado Sushi”

“Have you ever been to a foreign country” --- “¿Alguna vez has estado en un país extranjero?”

c.) “never” (Sólo frases afirmativas)

“This teacher has never asked me any questions” --- “ Este profesor nunca me ha hecho ninguna pregunta”

d.) “Yet” (En frases negativas e interrogativas) Yet – siempre va a final de la frase.

“Has the film started yet?” --- “¿Ha empezado la película?

“ He hasn’t decided yet” --- “Todavía no ha decidido”

e.) Just (Sólo en frases afirmativas)

“I´ve just received an e-mail from Stephen”---- “Acabo de recibir un e-mail de Stephen”

Extra : Present Perfect with “Still”

“I still haven't found my keys” - “Todavía no he encontrado las llaves”

(Se coloca delante del auxiliar y en frases negativas)

The Present Perfect with “For” and “Since”

• “I´ve lived in Sevilla since 1993” : Since = señala el momento en que empezó la acción.
  (“ He vivido / Vivo in Sevilla desde 1993”)

• “I´ve lived in Sevilla for 18 years” : For = indica lo que dura la acción.

(Se puede traducir, a veces, en presente – “Vivo en sevilla desde hace 18 años”)
